Monday. Chronicled

25 April 2012

24 hours. 1,440 minutes. Or 86,400 seconds.

The Chronicle Project from the Art House Co-op challenged 1000 artists to document a single day in their lives and share it at an exhibition  in the Brooklyn Art Library. Collapsing 1,000 unique days into one.

I’m looking forward to seeing the other 999. This is my day – Chronicled using only iphone snaps.

‘It’s like a concert tour but with sketchbooks’

30 September 2010

The thing with The Sketchbook Project, being run by the Brooklyn Art Library, is that you can keep it going on a back burner whilst you have other stuff going on, and head back to it every so often to doodle as the fancy takes you. And so it’s been with my sketchbook… I selected ‘Happy Thoughts’ as my theme and have enjoyed some completely random things popping into my brain and being able to scribble them down quickly into my book. It’s not going to be any great work of fine art, I’ve deliberately kept it to doodles, sketches and ideas rather than sat for hours struggling to create the next masterpiece but it’s going to be something very personal to me and a rather nice object when it’s complete which I hope someone else or in fact lots of someone elses, will smile over at some point when it goes on it’s whistle stop tour!

The project is now closed for artists but if you’re a keen doodler, or just have lots of happy thoughts….why not give it a go next time?
