A little bit of background...
Many moons ago when Katie was asked what she wanted to do when she grew up, she would say she wanted to be an astronaut. Or maybe an artist. That’s pretty much what she’s done ever since, well, except for the bit about astronauts.
She graduated with a first class honours degree in Graphic Information design, followed by a Masters degree from the Royal College of Art in Computer Related Design and worked for many years as a designer, illustrator & animator for Saatchi and Saatchi and the BBC.
Then...Way back in 2002, Wallop! was established.
As Wallop, Katie has enjoyed working on a huge variety of art and design related projects. Clients have included publishers, educational institutions and design agencies of all shapes and sizes. Scholastic, Cambridge University Press, RADA, Dusted Design, Sparklebox, LogaCare, Thorness, Post19, The Jane Austen House Museum, Alton College and the BBC, to name just a few.
As well as creating privately commissioned bespoke artworks. She also runs several weekly Graphic Design and Art workshops for young adults with disabilities at Post19 in Surrey - a very special part of Wallop's offering that continues to expand and grow each year.
She’s living out those original plans, is a very happy artist... (obviously, however still very much open to offers for intergalatic space travel. :-)
If you have a project you would like to discuss, please do get in touch.
